Location - Northern Costa Blanca, Spain
The location is Orba - a very well regarded
village (a small town, really) in the Northern Costa Blanca, Spain.
Click the thumbnails for larger maps showing the specific location of the
property.
The villa is situated on a small urbanisation (a
housing development) overlooking the beautiful Orba Valley. The villa
is built on a hillside location; the roads to and from the villa are fairly
steep but are easily accessible by car or on foot. The
villa offers wonderful views of orange and lemon groves, olive trees and the
nearby mountains, and you can enjoy superb sunsets over the valley.
Flights
If you fancy driving all the way, take a ferry to Santander from
the UK, then drive down across Spain, maybe taking a few days over the trip.
Obviously this takes longer than flying, but if you're not in a hurry can
make a very interesting extension to each end of your holiday.
Car Hire
|
In order to get the most out of your holiday, car hire is recommended.
We use Carjet who seem to be
very reasonably priced, or if you prefer to book direct we have also had good
service from Centauro at Valencia. We suggest you book your car hire at the same time
as you book your flights. |

Getting there from the airport
|
Alicante and Valencia airports are the nearest airports. They are about
the same distance (100km / 60 miles), each are about an hour's drive on
the A7 (AP7) motorway. Alicante is the larger of the two and has
probably more flights available. Valencia is smaller which gives it a
certain charm (and being small can make it a bit easier, too). Flights
to each of these airports are available from many UK and European
locations.
Click the thumbnail on the right for a road map showing the main routes from north
(Valencia) or south (Alicante). The drive from either airport is easy, with
straightforward navigation. We recommend using the AP7, which is a toll
road. The toll is about €7 each way, paid either in cash or by credit /
debit card
when you exit from the road. This road saves a lot of time compared with the
regular (non-toll) main road which can get very busy in peak periods.

Local Roads
|
Summary: Leave
the A-7 at junction 62 signposted for Ondara, this is where you
pay the toll. Credit cards or cash OK. On leaving the toll road, merge
onto local roads (signposted Ondara, Denia, Javea), continuing forward
onto the N-332. On entering Ondara initially follow the signs for
Beniarbeig and Benidoleig. This is a left turn off the main street and
is rather difficult to spot. Taking the local roads, follow the signs
for Orba. As you come into Orba, follow signs for Urb. El Capso. The
property is found on the El Capso Urbanisation, C/Penyes Roges 22. |
