Villa Mimosa is a nearly-new detached villa, and is owned by Graham and Julie Smith. It is located in Orba, in the Marina Alta region of the Northern Costa Blanca, in Spain.

The villa has been designed and equipped to form an ideal base for relaxing family holidays in the sun, away from the busiest tourist spots but within easy reach of the coast, beaches, facilities and amenities that any holidaymaker might require. It is suitable for families or couples, anyone seeking a quiet and relaxing break.

A 20 minute drive through the Orba valley's beautiful orange groves will bring you to the closest beaches, which are at Javea, Denia and Vergel. The beach resort towns of Moraira, Calpe and Gandia are about 30 mins drive, and Benidorm's beaches are 40 mins drive.

Many of the beaches in this region have the blue flag designation. The coastline offers a variety of long sandy beaches, stunning picture postcard bays and sheltered coves.

Description

Villa Mimosa is a luxury three bedroom detached villa, providing beautifully finished and appointed light and airy accommodation for up to six people in three bedrooms - one double and two twins. The villa is situated amongst other similar properties overlooking the beautiful Orba Valley, in the Marina Alta region of the Costa Blanca.

The villa offers wonderful views of orange and lemon groves, almond plantations, ancient olive groves and the nearby mountains, and you can enjoy superb sunsets over the valley.

Upstairs, the air conditioned master bedroom suite has a king-size double, with ensuite bathroom and dressing room with large built-in wardrobes. This room enjoys the use of a private 180 degree panoramic balcony, a fantastic spot for al-fresco breakfasts! See photo - left.

There are two air conditioned twin rooms, each equipped with built in wardrobes. These two rooms share an adjacent full shower room.  Coming down the marble staircase, you will find a large L-shaped living room with dining area, a sizable luxury kitchen and a downstairs cloakroom with WC and hand wash-basin.

The villa is very well equipped with high quality furnishings, including Satellite TV, a DVD player and a selection of DVDs, a superb kitchen with a big Bosch freezer / fridge, a Bosch dishwasher, Bosch washing machine and a combination microwave / grill. There is a four-ring electric hob with halogen elements, an electric oven with grill, and a stainless steel extractor hood with lighting. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you are likely to  require.

The air conditioned sitting area has two comfortable sofas, Satellite TV, DVD player, side table etc, whilst the dining area (also air conditioned) offers spacious and comfortable dining for six, and features a glass-topped dining table and leather dining chairs.

Outside, the villa has a covered shaded terrace ("naya") at ground floor level, with direct access from both the kitchen and the living room / dining area. An exterior dining table and six chairs are provided here. This area is perfect for dining outdoors, and lounging in the shade with a cool beer. See picture to right.

Down a few wide steps (tiled with beautiful Spanish terracotta) you will find our private
8 metre by 4 metre kidney-shaped swimming pool - with internal tiled steps - and a further tiled terrace / patio area equipped with sun-loungers. The pool has a shallow end of about 0.9 metres, and a deep end of about 1.8 metres. All exterior pool edging is non-slip.

In the terraced garden, there are various shaded areas where you can sit quietly in the shade and relax, enjoying the year-round colour from the flowering shrubs. These pictures were taken in December! Lovely, sunny, warm and inviting...!

Nearby

Our villa is located in a well-established, quiet and private residential area located on a hillside very close to the village of Orba. The oldest properties are some 30 years old, and as a result the whole area is very settled. Its privileged location gives easy walking access to Orba. The nearest bar is a couple of minutes walk - "The Lee's"; this is an English bar offering both Spanish and English beers, tapas, meals, and ice creams - and entertainment some evenings. The villa enjoys splendid valley and mountain views. As our villa is built on a hillside location, the roads to and from the villa are fairly steep, but are easily accessible by car or on foot.

The infrastructure is modern with tarmac streets with foot paths; electricity, telephone and drainage are all underground. Most properties are occupied all year round. Residents are of many nationalities, including British, Spanish, Dutch and German.
